I would hope that you understand by now that spot reduction fat loss does NOT work. It is a myth, and a myth that we cant get to go away at that. To tell you the truth though, Losing you abdominal fat doesn’t occur by ONLY doing ab targeted workouts. Unfortunately, while most people understand this, they still spend way too much of their valuable training time trying to target belly fat with ab workouts.

Do not misunderstand me. You do need some workouts that are targeted to your stomach area. These are great for maintaining a healthy back and core strength. However, you will need to spend most of your valuable training focusing on large multi joint exercises. By this I mean concentrate on large groups of muscles such as back, chest, and legs.

That is one of my most important tips to get rid of stubborn belly fat and keep it off. This greatly jacks up your metabolism both during and after the workout is over. It also increases your fat burning hormones in your body also. This doesn’t come from all the time you waste using ab belts or abdominal targeted exercises.

Now, what I insist you do if you are serious about losing those love handles are the following. Get some barbells or dumbbells above you and start doing some step ups, chest and back workouts, and some lunges. Do not worry about bulking up ladies, that is NOT what this is going to do.

Also remember that you need to focus on these being high intensity workouts. What I mean is do not take long five minute breaks between sets. Losing stomach fat for good needs intensity. Anyone telling you otherwise is straight up LYING to you.
